"About a possible test of T-invariance in a measurement of neutron-nuclear total cross sections with a usage of "Polarization-Asymmetry" theorem"

V.R. Skoy

It is shown that in the frames of "Polarization-Asymmetry" theorem a test of T-invariance in a measurement of neutron-nuclear total cross sections is possible without a usage of polarized or aligned targets. The test is feasible both in a presence of P-odd effect and without it. The measurable quantities have the same form like in the suggested experiments with polarized targets.

"Precise method for measuring soil carbon"

A. Zontikov

The process of carbon sequestration in soil allows to reduce human-induced impact on climate change and to improve soil quality. There are a number of agricultural techniques that are used to increase the efficiency of this process. Various methods of fast neutron activation analysis (14 MeV) are currently of particular interest for monitoring of sequestration. Author proposes a step-by-step procedure aimed on estimation of minute concentration of soil carbon. The quantitative characteristics of soil properties and composition are derived from Monte Carlo simulation with Geant4 toolkit.

 "Nanosystems and Soft Condensed Matter"
T.V. Tropin

The report discusses current areas of research in the field of nanosystems and soft condensed matter within the framework of the development of the scientific program of the new neutron source NEPTUN at FLNP JINR. On the example of some experiments and problems solved with the help of neutron scattering and complementary methods, the prospects of these areas for the next 20 years are considered. On the basis of these examples, proposals were made for a number of neutron methods using available experimental parameters at the NEPTUN reactor.

"The results of the work of the EG-5 group for 2022."

A.S. Doroshkevich

In the report will briefly present a current research and the results of the work of the group "Installation EG-5" in 2022. The group's work program and promising research areas will be considered (ion beam spectrometry, radiation materials science, powder nanotechnology).
