1. Level (Type) of work: PhD thesis.
2. Topic: Software systems for adjusting the IBR-2M reactor spectrometers and preliminary processing of measurement results.
3. Work objective: The development of a general approach to the design of systems for adjusting spectrometers and preliminary processing of measured data on the basis of principles of modularity, configurability, ease in extension and adaptation to the specificity of spectrometers assumes the performance of the analysis of the existing approaches and programs, the advancing of concrete proposals and their realization to replace the available means.
4. Short description: The IBR-2 reactor spectrometers are complex hardware multicomponent complexes that require precise adjustment. A number of spectrometers have adjusting programs, but they are designed for a fixed equipment composition and a fixed set of methods for mathematical treatment of spectra. On other spectrometers the adjustment is carried out manually, which takes a good deal of reactor time. At the same time, the use of the Sonix+ software package as a modular, configurable, easily extensible environment for controlling spectrometers creates prerequisites for the extension of the similar approach to the programs of adjustment and preliminary processing of the results of measurements, which is a topical task for the Laboratory.
