The event "The HERCULES Specialized Course (HSC)" on the use of neutrons and synchrotron radiation for condensed matter research has been held since 2006 as a supplement to the well-known HERCULES European School (http://hercules-school.eu/).

This year, the HERCULES Specialized Course (HSC) will be held online from May 31 to June 9.

The organizers of the event are the Central European Research Infrastructure Consortium (CERIC-ERIC, the leading distributed European infrastructure in the field of materials science), the projects ACCELERATE and CALIPSOplus of the “Horizon 2020” program.

The specialized course is an extensive training combining theory and practice. Lectures will be delivered by leading experts from the CERIC-ERIC partner organizations.

Researchers will have the opportunity to expand their scientific knowledge of large research infrastructures and learn more about the various methods offered by the CERIC-ERIC partner centers.

Target audience: researchers from any country in the world, primarily, young researchers (post-graduate students and postdocs) in the field of physics, chemistry and biology.

Registration is open.

The 1st stage of registration: until April 26; notice from organizers: May 7

The final registration deadline: May 17, notice from organizers: May 24

Details are available on the CERIC-ERIC website:
